Samsung just unveiled its brand new smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, and US carriers along with big retailers are wasting no time sharing details on how you can get one of them. You’ll be able to preorder either device from all four big carriers beginning tomorrow, March 30th.
The phone will be released on April 21st — less than a month from today and a few weeks after LG’s G6 widely launches in the United States. Let’s not waste any more time: here’s everything you need to know about how and when to purchase the Galaxy S8. I’ll be updating this post rapidly as all carriers announce availability details throughout the day.

Best Buy is promising savings of “up to $100” if you choose to buy the Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus from the retailer instead of a carrier or some other store. Preorders open at 12:01AM ET on March 30th, and you’ll also be able to reserve a phone when your local Best Buy opens on Thursday morning. A Best Buy spokesperson confirmed that the savings can be layered on top of carrier-specific deals being offered from Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint.

Another last-minute leak adds to what we know about Samsung’s upcoming flagship

Samsung is finally taking the wraps off the Galaxy S8 later today in New York, but we’ve still got time to squeeze in a few more leaks. Like, for example, the phone’s user guide. Yep, the whole document got posted online earlier at Samsung’s download center (the link’s here, but it’s locked away behind a password now). Phandroid caught it before it got sealed up, and although there aren’t many surprises, it’s still a good overview of what the S8 will be offering. There’s the “Edge screen” with its super-slim bezels, the intelligent assistant Bixby (capable of navigating the UI, setting reminders, and performing image searches from your camera), and Samsung Dex — which allows you to connect the phone to an external display and use it like a computer with keyboard and mouse.
