10 THINGS WE LEARNED ABOUT THE TOTALLY SWEET NEW SAMSUNG GALAXY S8

10 THINGS WE LEARNED ABOUT THE TOTALLY SWEET NEW SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 Could this be the iPhone killer you've been waiting for? Samsung On April 21st,  Samsung  will unleash their Galaxy S8 and S8+ on the world but we were able to count ourselves among the lucky few who pocketed the phone a week early. Using the Galaxy S8 as our primary phone, we put it through the ringer and were damn impressed with what Samsung has accomplished this time around. Here are 10 standout features of Samsung’s Galaxy S8, and why it’s setting a new standard for cell phones. 1. There's No Home Button The main difference and first thing you’ll notice about the S8 is that it’s without a physical home button. The S8 isn’t the first phone to do away with the home button but it is the best implementation of a software-based alternative that we’ve seen so far. A New Samsung Galaxy S8 leak reveals three color options and pricing

We’ve already gotten a good look at the Samsung Galaxy S8, but a new leaked image of the device shows off the colors that it will be available in when it ships to consumers in April.
The image comes from Evan Blass, who leaked the first images of the phone back in January.
His new image reveals that Samsung’s next flagship phone will be available in three colors: Black Sky, Orchid Grey, and Arctic Silver. The new Galaxy S8 may even pack an iris scanner, providing another secure way of unlocking the handset and potentially authorizing payments - we fear it won't be as speedy or user friendly as the trusty digit reader though.

There is some talk of a dual-lens camera, but it looks more likely that the Galaxy S8 will stick with a 12MP sensor on the back - although the front snapper could be bumped to 8MP.
With
talk of a new AI assistant, called Bixby, Samsung could be about to take on Apple's Siri headfirst while ignoring Google's own Assistant in the process on the Galaxy S8.
Samsung has announced Bixby, it's new way to interact with your phone, and the firm's answer to Amazon's Alexa smart assistant. Bixby will feature in the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus - which launch on March 29 -
but the assistant won't be exclusive to these two handsets.

He also tweeted that the phone will retail in Europe for €799 for the basic S8, while the S8+ will retail for €899. He also revealed the prices of some accessories for the phone: the DeX docking station, a new GearVR headset, and Gear 360 camera.

Samsung will launch the phone during an event on March 29th, and it will reportedly be available to consumers on April 21st.

The Honor 8 Pro is a Huawei P10 with stronger specs and a smaller price 8 by  Tom Warren @tomwarren    Apr 5, 2017, 6:30am EDT Honor 8 Pro   Photo by Tom Warren  Huawei subsidiary  Honor launched its Honor 8 in the US  last year, and now it’s bringing the successor to Europe. The Honor 8 Pro, known as the V9 in China, is a spec bump in pretty much everything you’d care about. Honor has added a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, alongside Huawei’s updated Kirin 960 octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, and a large 4,000 mAh battery. Only the camera remains the same as the Honor 8, with a 12-megapixel dual-camera system. One captures images in RGB color, and the other in monochrome. Other specs include a microSD slot, dual-SIM support, a fingerprint sensor at the rear, NFC, and USB-C charging. Essentially, the Honor 8 Pro is a slightly better (in terms o...
